With the recent security snafu at NetworkSolutions regarding file permissions, it’s vital to make sure your WP install and hosting is top par.

Over at PluginBuddy, we just released a free WordPress plugin called ServerBuddy that is designed to help you test the quality of your hosting, how secure your WordPress installation is, and test compatibility with popular plugins like BackupBuddy and Gravity Forms.

Through the launch of our BackupBuddy plugin, we realized just how bad some hosting is. So we built this plugin out of the need to help the larger WordPress ecosystem get better, more secure hosting.
